I believe we all have inherent strengths and wisdom, but too often we default to unsuccessfully trying to access these internal resources in isolation. Some of my most powerful life shifts have arisen with the support of others, in spaces that were uplifting and empowering.
I invite you to partner with me as you seek to reflect, learn, and grow. I will be your champion, and provide a safe space where you’ll be fully listened to. I commit to asking questions that can lead to the development of achievable intentions and goals. I will support you in developing self-awareness on what may be holding you back, including learning practices that will help you approach uncomfortable moments from a lens of opportunity versus fear.
My work, as your coach, is to support you in taking steps toward reaching your vision and impact for your life. One tool I use to frame our coaching work is the Well-Being model pictured above. In my coaching approach, wellness is conceptualized as a strategy for living, loving, and leading life.
I bring a lens that is whole-person centered and socially and culturally rooted; I know that our habits, sense of self, and social-emotional health are often rooted in the contexts that our lives are interconnected with. Too often we go about change and shifts without considering the impact of society, community, and familial patterns have on our behavior and wellness. When we consider these impacts, we are able to create more opportunities to respond in ways that support our long-term goals.
It is typical that a coaching session begins on right side of the Theory of Change where we focus understanding and articulating your vision for impact on the individual , intra-personal, and societal level. However, things are always flexible, and if you are ready to dive into a specific domain or life challenge, we will do that. Then we would consider which one of 6 Koshas of Wellbeing (Physical, Financial, Social, Mental, Purpose, & Emotional) where you'd like to focus on, and which has brought on most blocks to your health and wellness, and overall well-being.
When working with organizations as clients, we would consider the domains right under the Koshas (Engagement, Power, Productivity, Performance, People and Purpose).
The outputs/measures help us monitor whether you are making progress toward your wellness goals (i.e., is healthy eating, self-compassion scale, stress reduction, etc.). I will support clients to identify actions that are SMART (Smart, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-Based) .
